Loft Mountain is located in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia and covers an area of over 8,000 acres. It was established as a Virginia state park in 1966.

The mountain is accessible by foot, horse, or bike and offers many different activities for visitors. There are over 70 miles of hiking trails on the mountain, which offer views of the surrounding area. There are also camping sites available for those who wish to stay overnight. In addition, the mountain is home to a variety of wildlife, including black bears, white-tailed deer, and wild turkeys. It is also home to a variety of plant life, including over 100 species of trees.
